Drawing and painting the head is something I think I will keep returning to. It has been a continuous challenge to capture more than just a likeness. When drawing the children I would remind myself of what it felt like to hold their face in my hands, to stroke their skin and kiss them. Above all capturing a poignant gaze is what fascinates me the most.
